Now, a new study has quantified the risk of depression during the transition, known as perimenopause — showing that women in this stage are about 40% more likely to experience the mental health condition than premenopausal women. The authors conducted the study — which is a review of seven studies totaling 9,141 women — to provide an estimate for the risk of developing clinical, diagnosed depression or depressive symptoms at different menopausal stages. The authors didn’t find a significant difference in risk of depression for postmenopausal women compared with premenopausal women. Badawy is now an associate graduate mental health worker at the Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust in London. And doctors should develop and maintain relationships with mental health providers to whom they can refer patients diagnosed with depression.

This afternoon, university officials announced that students involved in the building’s occupation would face expulsion. Frankfurt-based tech company Northern Data , prominently known for bitcoin mining, has recently transformed its business model into cloud solutions and data center infrastructure. Listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Northern Data has three core divisions: Peak Mining for bitcoin mining, Taiga Cloud for cloud computing and Ardent Data Centers for data center infrastructure. The company's Taiga Cloud division is certified as an "Elite" partner of Nvidia , making it one of the largest providers of Nvidia-based cloud services in Europe. The investment bank forecasts annual revenues of around 400 million euros and adjusted profits of about 290 million euros from Taiga Cloud from 2026 onward. Northern Data's cloud computing platform is expected to have 20,000 Nvidia AI chips, worth 730 million euros, by the third quarter of 2024, the note said.

SportsNet Pittsburgh on Monday unveiled SNP 360, which will cost fans in its local market $17.99 a month to watch Pirates and Penguins games outside of the pay-TV bundle. It also follows a shakeup at SportsNet Pittsburgh last year. The network is now owned by the Pirates and Penguins. Fenway Sports Group and Delaware North, also the parent company of the Boston Bruins, own the regional sports network NESN, which manages SportsNet Pittsburgh. "Our desire has been to reach fans wherever they are and give them options to access our clubs' telecasts," said NESN and SportsNet Pittsburgh CEO Sean McGrail.

CNN —As US supply chains decouple from China, Mexico’s manufacturing sector is emerging as a winner. Ramos said Mexico and China have been competing for the US manufacturing market for years, but amid a shifting US-China relationship, Mexico looks poised to pull ahead. Those exports were driven by manufacturing, which comprises 40% of Mexico’s economy, according to Morgan Stanley. Meanwhile, Chinese exports to the US were down 20% in 2023, compared to 2022. Analysts at Morgan Stanley see the value of Mexico’s exports to the United States growing from $455 billion to about $609 billion in the next five years.

Walgreens on Thursday said it will start to work directly with drugmakers to bring cell and gene therapies to U.S. patients as part of a broader expansion of its specialty pharmacy services. The company said it is launching a new business unit dedicated to its specialty pharmacy segment, which will include specialty pharmacy subsidiary AllianceRx. Meanwhile, Shields Health Solutions, a subsidiary that supports health system-owned specialty pharmacies, will remain under Walgreens's U.S. health-care division. Specialty pharmacies provide medications that require extreme care in handling, storage and distribution. Among the company's new investments to "transform" its specialty pharmacy services, it will open a newly licensed facility in Pittsburgh dedicated to services for cell and gene therapies.
